This chapter describes features and applicable examples of steam turbines for solar power and for ORC (organic Rankine cycle) systems which can be applied to heat recovery from low-temperature sources such as biomass combustion, waste heat, and geothermal heat, and other renewable energies.

Recently, a test plant for a combined system of solar, biomass, and ORC turbine generator has been constructed and demonstrated in Japan. A brief summary of this plant is also introduced in this chapter.
