7. Photographing Winter Sports
Winter is one of the best times for adventure sports photography. The snowy mountains are bathed in deep powder, and long ribbons of blue ice hang from the cliffs. Ski areas are open, and snowboarders grab big air in the super pipes. The shooting is more difficult in the cold and snow, but the rewards are worth it.
Nature serves up one of its most spectacular displays in winter, providing a great subject for the adventure sports photographer: the Northern Lights.
