We’re together, what now?

How to begin?

So you’ve brought together your merry band of stakeholders. They’re in the war room, it’s 9:30 Monday morning, and everyone is looking to you to kick things off. As soon as possible you need to get the most senior dude you can find to rally the troops, to put his stamp of authority behind the exercise, to say how important it is that everyone works together, frees their diaries of time, and contributes to the success of the process.

Now make sure everyone knows why they are in the room. It’s introduction time, but let’s add a twist. Don’t just go around the table and ask for people to state their name and their role—look to understand why they are there and how engaged they are likely to be:
