My team and I were kicking off a project that was part of a curriculum to teach basic concepts of capitalism to small business owners in formerly communist countries where financial acumen in business was lacking. As the professor (who was both the SME and a co-sponsor of the project) was talking about what he envisioned as the project’s scope, I pulled out my 3x5 cards and started writing my notes in the form of user stories. As he moved from big topic to big topic, I started piling the cards in groups.
