Manage Time

When you’re leading a retrospective, a lot is going on. You have to respond to the needs of the group. You have to manage activities and assess whether your design is meeting the group’s needs or requires adjustment. You have to pay attention to how the group uses their time well. But it’s easy to lose track of time or go with the flow if the team seems to be having a useful discussion.

Let the group help you. When you introduce an activity, tell people how much time you’ve allotted so that they can track time. Give a warning when one or two minutes remain.
