Maria had stepped outside for lunch. There was a hot dog vendor on the street around the corner from the Capital View building. Although she usually tried to eat a healthy lunch, she had a weakness for hot dogs. New York City hot dog vendors had those special onions in red sauce that you just couldn’t get anywhere else.
