4.1 Introduction

The adaption of emergent applications and technological trends of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the industrial system is dominant toward the expansion of Industrial IoT (IIoT) [1]. IIoT assists as a novel form of IoT in the industrial field by systematizing smart objects for communicating, sensing, collecting, and processing real‐time events in industrial systems. Generally, IIoT is determined by IoT as it is applied between distinct types of industry including logistics, transportation, energy or utilities, manufacturing (Industry 4.0), oil, mining, gas, aviation, metals, etc. [2, 3]. The advancement in smart environment, home automation, sensor networks, and smart cities for military and civilian applications has been incorporated for designing IoT. With current development in the field of remote sensor techniques, it is easier for capturing high quality remote sensing images with distinct satellites along with sensing devices and is certainly beneficial to remote sensing image application. But the massive number of data, i.e. remote sensing images, became a complex problem for transmission and storage [4]. Consequently, compression technique became indispensable in ...
