Summary

In this chapter, we have learned how to create an account on AWS EC2 and start EC2 instances. We have created bundled AMI images from existing instances and used them as the base for starting new EC2 instances. We have also learned how to install the EC2 command-line tools and use them to manage EC2.

In the next chapter, we will be looking at how storage works on Amazon, including Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes and Simple Storage Service (S3) volumes.
