In this chapter, we covered in detail how to create both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle instances on AWS. We looked at how we connect to these instances and how to import data into each of our instances once they were created. We looked at licensing and pricing for both Oracle and SQL Server, and looked at how they were both structured from the AWS cloud perspective.

We also covered Amazon RDS and Amazon SimpleDB, and also gave examples on how to both connect and to import data into these services.
