The essence of amplification
The amplifier’s journey begins with the acceptance of the job description of ‘motivational leader’. It’s about so much more, of course. Being a motivational leader is about understanding not only how motivation works but also the nature of inspirational leadership and how you go about orchestrating transformation. The unifying thread to the three ideas of motivation, inspiration and transformation, is most definitely the expectation of greatness.
Becoming an amplifier is about each leader realising that they can’t simply deal with the left-brain logical, strategic initiatives of a business and call themselves a ‘leader’. It’s about inspiring people around you to create magic and to reach further than they thought they could. It’s about leaders being all they can as a person. This is a confronting notion for some leaders, as it requires them to not only ‘turn up’ authentically as a human being but also to ‘turn it up’.
If traditional leadership is about strategy, then motivational leadership is about using culture as a driver for strategy. If traditional leadership is about logic and analysis, then motivational leadership is about taking the decisions created through sound analysis and bringing these decisions all to life through emotions and engagement.
