Design Optimization

Professional engineers optimize design by stages in consultation with other disciplines, business partners, and clients. It is an inherent part of the professional design process. Optimization is massively multifactorial, and often a product of complex negotiations. All professional engineers, however, agree that an optimal design is the most cost-effective, robust, and safe one achievable with available resources under prevailing conditions.
