BOTH ARMS AND hands give rise to one of the most asked questions from presenters: What do I do with my hands? Awkwardness about what to do with them can be a distraction to the speaker. And if they are awkward then they become a distraction to the audience. They should be an asset to the speaker and make a positive impression on the members of the audience; so too should gestures. Beware:

•   Too static a pose is awkward and distracting (and may look too formal or imply nerves).
