A Different Perspective

Developing the content of your vision may seem as if it should be easy. After all, you know your business and you have a strategy and goals. So why is stepping back to create a vision statement such a challenge for so many people?

We think the main reason for the struggle is that we typically use only one kind of thinking when we talk about or write up our vision. At CCL, we've used or developed a number of techniques to help leaders gain a new perspective on their challenges. Two of them—journaling and using images—are particularly helpful in creating a strong vision. We'll take you through them.
