Design and application of photovoltaic systems in buildings under 10 kWp can become a reality in the future due to distributed electrical sources using renewable energy. The power supply on direct current electrical installations, which is not intended to be connected to Public Distribution Networks, would be a great benefit because of the access to electrical power for people living in poor areas (Figure 3.1).

But, supply from these renewable energies is not constant; photovoltaic panels do not operate at night, and wind turbines require wind for generating electrical energy.
