10Power Flow in Three‐Phase Network

10.1 Terms and Definitions

The aim of the load flow calculation is to determine the complex stresses in all network nodes and to calculate the power flows on the connecting elements between the nodes, i.e. the overhead lines, cables, and transformers. Load flow calculations are determined for the two load states, heavy load and light load.

Three different network nodes are distinguished (Figure 10.1):

  • Slack node: At this node, only the voltage (amplitude, phase control) is specified. The slack node covers the power difference, since only after the current and voltage distribution mentioned results.
  • Load node: As a rule, the complex power is specified, which is constant during the calculation (, node). ...
