Until 1986, switchgear could be erected on the construction site as switchgear assemblies not ready for manufacture. From 1967, it was possible to produce “fabricated switchgear assemblies” in production plants. Switchgear assemblies have not been manufactured on site since 1984. When planning distributors, a distinction must be made between installation regulations according to DIN VDE 0100 and construction regulations according to DIN VDE 0660.
