20.1.1 Terms and Definitions
- Lamps are technical realizations of artificial light sources primarily intended for lighting purposes, that is, for lighting and illumination. They convert electrical energy into light.
- Light fixtures: Light fixtures serve the purpose of influencing the light beam generated by a light source in such a way as to achieve optimal illumination of a system. Light fixtures are therefore electrical operational equipment containing lamps and accessories, which guide the light radiated from the lamps in the required direction.
