Time for action – creating an Android virtual device

  1. Open Android SDK and AVD Manager using either the command line (key in android) or the Eclipse toolbar button:

  2. Click on the New button.
  3. Give a name to this new emulated device: Nexus_480x800HDPI.
  4. Target platform is Android 2.3.3.
  5. Specify SD card size: 256.
  6. Enable snapshot.
  7. Set Built-in resolution WVGA800.
  8. Leave the Hardware section the way it is.
  9. Click on Create AVD.
