Summary

In this chapter, we explored the various methods by which you can apply animations to various parts of your user interface. We explored how some widgets are designed to animate themselves. Layouts can be animated for transitions in and out of an Activity.

Several simple animations are available by default in the Android resource, but ultimately creating your own animations and applying them to your user interface manually creates, by far, the most visually appealing and user-friendly experience for your users.
