Running a simple test using Protractor

In the Installing Protractor recipe in this chapter, you learned how to configure Protractor and WebDriver. This recipe will introduce you to running a basic end-to-end test with Protractor. You will learn how to add test files to the Protractor configuration, add a basic end-to-end test, find DOM elements based on AngularJS attributes, and simulate user interaction. The latter has the potential to save a considerable amount of time testing your application and allows you to test expected user interaction. This sort of testing can prove indispensable and Protractor provides a simplified API to simulate user actions, as you will see within this recipe.
