This chapter introduced the concept of vector layers by explaining the benefits of working with vector-based graphics and showing how they differ from pixel-based graphics. It also explained how Anime Studio’s implementation is built for animation and covered the Vectors panel in the Layer Settings dialog box used to create random curves.
In the next chapter, we’ll start dissecting the Tools palette. The first section of tools is the Draw section. These are the tools that you’ll use to create and edit curves and shapes.
