This chapter introduced the Draw section of tools in the Tools palette. Several of these tools are used to create curves and shapes on the currently selected vector layer. Whether you’re creating exact, precise curves with the Add Points tool or doodling with the Freehand tool, each of these tools lets you draw and manipulate curves and shapes to fill out the vector layer. The Scripts, Draw menu also includes some features for creating some unique shapes.
Now that you know how to draw on vector layers, we’ll next cover another important type of shape that forms letters. The Insert Text tool lets you add text to a vector layer. You can even select a font to use.
