Filling Holes

If a shape defined by curves is nested completely within another shape, you can elect to fill the shape without filling the hole by selecting both the outer shape’s curves and the hole’s curves. With both selected, Anime Studio determines that the interior shape is a hole and won’t fill it. If a third shape is within the hole and it is selected also, then the shape in the hole will be filled as well.

To use the Create Shape tool (U) to define a complex shape, follow these steps:

Open the Doughnuts.anme file from the Chapter 13 folder on the CD. This file shows two doughnut objects created from two ovals, but neither has a fill applied.
