24. Using Switch Layers and Note Layers

Switch layers are similar to group layers in that they can hold several sublayers, but the key difference is that only one of the switch sublayers is visible at a time. This is helpful for creating certain effects. For example, if you want to highlight the letters on a sign, you could create one sublayer with all the letters filled with black and another sublayer with all the letters filled in yellow. You could then switch between the two sublayers to make the sign letters appear highlighted, or you could switch back and forth to make the letters blink.
