This chapter introduced the useful Switch layer, which only displays one of its sublayers at a time. The specific sublayer that is visible at any one time can be set manually by right-clicking the Switch layer, or you can create an external data file to control which sublayer appears at which frame of the animation. Audio files can also be used to control which Switch layer is displayed. This chapter also covered note layers and showed how they can be used to add reminder notes to a current project. Note layers are added using the Layers palette and are used to document the project. They can also be rendered with the project.
The next chapter covers changing the camera view of the scene.
