Abstract

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is increasingly being used to treat anxiety, core autism spectrum disorder (ASD) symptoms, and co-occurring emotion dysregulation associated with ASD. Because of the overlapping nature of anxiety, ASD symptoms, and other types of emotion dysregulation, these facets of mental health are each considered in this review of CBT for children with ASD.
