Summary
This chapter has covered the development of the YMLD application using Java and JDBC. A variety of JDBC methods were used to access the YMLD database, including code to display current productions, seat prices, and transactions.
A series of GUI panels was developed to facilitate ticket purchasing activities, including the selection of a production, specifying a particular performance, picking available seats, and finally, confirming the seat selection. All of this development was done using various SQL statements and JDBC techniques.
A series of panels was also developed to allow transaction reversal. This topic also examined techniques for updating data, as well as implications of using a transaction log.
