On opening a POM, Eclipse switches to a special view, dedicated to POMs. By default, five tabs are displayed in the POM editor. Overview summarizes macro-information related to the POM, such as details on the project, SCM, organization, and so on. You can fill in the form to update the POM, instead of writing XML blocks. The
pom.xml file displays the text content of the file. The three other tabs are more interesting from a dependency management viewpoint.
