Generic Header Data Structure

Depending on which API you use, there are two possible formats for the generic header data structure. Generic header format 0100 is for the original program model (OPM), while generic header format 0300 is for the Integrated Language Environment (ILE). The two formats are identical, except that the ILE version has two additional fields at the end of the generic header data structure.

Figure 3.2 shows the complete ILE version of generic header format 0300. Fields QUSEPN and QUSRSV2 differentiate the ILE format from the OPM version.
