Opening, Writing, Reading, and Closing an Integrated File System Stream File

The entire program for opening, writing, reading, and closing an Integrated File System stream file is shown in Figure 14.12.A. After running FIG14_12.A, you can use the Work with Object Links command, WRKLNK ‘/My_New_File.txt’. If you select option 5, Display, you will see the contents of the file. If you select option 8, Display Attributes, you will see that the file is tagged with the default CCSID currently in effect for your job.
