One feature not provided by AppleScript is the ability to create robust graphical user interfaces. However, the language does provide support for generating a number of dialog windows as discussed in the sections that follow.
Although AppleScript does not support the development of windows with complex user interfaces made up of graphical elements such as buttons, slider controls, and popup lists controls, AppleScript Studio does. AppleScript Studio is discussed in Chapter 10, “Introducing AppleScript Studio.”
