Figure 7.17a and b shows SDC and CNDCs for a soil sample collected from a
free product seep adjacent to the foundation of Mr. A’s home. Not only is the SDC
for the foundation seep sample very similar to the SDC for the UST sample, but
also its CNDC contains the two distinctive peaks at C11 and C13 that were also
seen in the UST sample.
Mr. B acknowledged that these data strongly implicated his UST as the source
of contamination at Mr. A’s home, even if it did not explain why the leak appeared
