A First MVC Application

There are a lot of new concepts to learn with the MVC framework, and the best way to get started is to build an application. In this chapter, we'll create a simple web application that allows athletes to register for triathlon competitions. We will then build on this example in later chapters as we dig into the details of the MVC framework.

This chapter is a quick MVC framework primer and a guide to the chapters that follow. I have included a lot of references to other chapters in this part of the book where individual concepts are further expanded and demonstrated.
