CHAPTER 8Migrating 3.x to 7.0 BEx WebReports and the WAD
This chapter takes us a bit off of the track in terms of building dynamic Web templates or dashboards but I believe it’s important and there are many companies that are looking to either a) understand the process or b) find out what the pros and cons are for the migration of the BEx Web Analyzer and the WAD templates. This would be a great process to know and understand when talking with your customers. It’s definitely a plus when you are looking at a transition project from a 3.x to a 7.0 system. This task—migration of reports, both the basic BEx Web Analyzer reports as well as the more advanced WAD reports—will allow you to get involved in another aspect of the whole BW/BI landscape. ...
