The subsurface structure map is one of the primary vehicles used by geoscientists to find and produce hydrocarbons from the initial stage of exploration through the complete development of a field. Each subsurface structure map is a geologic or geophysical interpretation based upon limited data, technical proficiency, creative imagination, three-dimensional visualization, and experience.
