Calculations and design of sonar projectors and hydrophones are in most cases considered a business secret. Only few books on sonar calculations and design have been published, such as the books by Bobber [39], Wilson [12], and Stansfield [13], the youngest of which is more than 20 years old. In 2007 Sherman and Butler [16] published a book dealing with aspects of transducer calculations and design.
