Documentation workflow

The documentation workflow is a subset of the project workflow (see Chapter 3, Documentation – A Residential Project, for more information). Our goal is to set up a part of our document properly and take advantage of the automated documentation system.

The documentation workflow in ArchiCAD can be divided into three steps:

  • View adjustment: This is used to review the established views in our model and consider them as drawings that will be placed on sheets
  • Sheet setup: This is used to create and review the layouts that will be needed to properly document our project
  • Drawing placement: This is used to place the views on sheets and adjust the miscellaneous annotation
