Graph or property graph databases feature a node, edge, and properties structure to represent data and the relationships inherent in the data. The graph structures are followed for semantic queries. Nodes represent entities such as people, places, or any trackable item. Edges represent the relationships between the nodes and are the key differentiators for a graph database, enabling the analysis of the connections and interconnections between the nodes, properties, and edges.
