In this chapter, we are going to write the iOS application through which we can connect to the Arduino, know if the pet door is locked or not, read the external temperature, and eventually manually lock it.

The main tool for writing the application is Xcode provided by Apple. We can start it from Launchpad or entering the Applications folder in Finder.
