Performing research for a speech-recognition system is not done in a vacuum; there is always a goal on which to focus as we gain more information. Elements of this include researching with an eye toward creating an easy-to-use application, where the terminology is audience-appropriate. A helpful technique is to perform a morphological analysis to examine the problem at hand by looking at other similar problems and relating information gleaned from those solutions to our own.
