DEMONSTRATION: Lisa L. Cyr
dimensional substrates and treated surfaces
A multilayered working ground pushes the picture plane into the third dimension in a visually dynamic way. With the addition of textured and treated surfaces, the visual landscape becomes illustratively tactile. In this demonstration, artist Lisa L. Cyr uses multiple substrates, collage, assemblage, embossing and debossing relief treatments and lushly painted patinas to draw the viewer into the work.
