DEMONSTRATION: Susan Leopold
sculptural and tactile surfaces
Every material has natural properties and inherent characteristics that make it unique. The way something dries, bends and moves through space makes working with it a true process of discovery. Throughout this demonstration, artist Susan Leopold explores her affinity for organic materials and textures. Using papermaking techniques, dyeing, molding, wrapping, rubbing, encaustic and stitching, the artist builds a one-of-a-kind sculptural creation.
