Getting the Interview

Before you can prepare for the interview, you must get the interview. Many books have been written about how to get an interview. I will survey a few of the tactics here.

Networking

Nothing, yes, nothing beats networking for learning about jobs and getting the all-important information that leads to an interview. You must use your contacts and keep them informed of your status and desires. They know where the jobs are and who the gatekeepers are.
