zembly is a collaborative web site, and as such, this book is a collaborative project. Many people offered feedback, kept us in the loop, and provided technical gems.

We’d first like to thank Greg Doench, our editor at Prentice Hall, for supporting this project and helping us with logistics in publishing the manuscript. Octavian Tanase and Prakash Narayan first introduced us to the idea of writing a book on zembly. Prakash then spearheaded the project.
