Aligning talent development to the organization’s strategy and goals is critical for both your success and that of your organization. It requires the talent development function to understand the end result that is expected and required by the organization. It means truly understanding what will make a difference for the organization, why it will make a difference, and how it will make a difference. It also means knowing what it will cost to reach the goals, and what will happen if the goals are not met. That sounds logical.
