Fast Fourier Transformation
CHAPTER OUTLINE
FFT is an acronym for “Fast Fourier Transformation.” The purpose of a Fourier Transformation is to transform waveform (impulse response/waveform) into frequency. This is a common methodology which is implemented in many kinds of audio software.

The basis for the Fourier transformation is the fact that every (infinite) periodic signal can be described by an infinite harmonics series (cf. Chapter 4, “Signal Types”).
