3.2 Guitar Plug Female Connectors

For those of you reading through the connector modules sequentially, a good part of the information on the male guitar plug is duplicated here. This is neither accidental nor laziness on my part. Rather, they are connectors in the same family, and each module is written as a ‘standalone’, to reduce flipping back and forth for instructions. So now for a little recycling, followed quickly by some new pictures.

The so-called ‘guitar’ plug is one of the oldest connectors still in use. With minor changes in form, you can see this type in use on your grandmother’s pre-1900 telephone switchboard, and up to the present time.
