Intellectual Property

Abstract

This chapter discusses the range of intellectual property rights that will be available to owners of augmented media and content, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and the right of publicity. It also examines the few AR-related IP infringement cases that have arisen to date, and predicts the likely ways in which augmented media will lead to more such disputes in the near future.
