Number seven on our list of challenges is predominantly a human issue, but it leads to technology being unable to deliver a workable solution. Many technical approaches map the simplest mental models people have about their communications, thereby reinforcing those models. But those models do not serve the dynamic nature of distributed content.
The worst mental contamination comes from one word: page. In content management, almost everything is a page. And when we think page, we see a sheet of paper with text on it; the information is static.
