In this AutoCAD – Space Planning training course, expert author Shaun Bryant teaches you the fundamentals of space planning, and how to utilize the tools available to you in AutoCAD. This video tutorial is designed for users that already have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. You will start out by learning how to set up objects within AutoCAD, including title blocks, units, and layers. You will then define space, learning about object snaps (OSNAP), gross external area (GEA), and gross internal area (GIA). Shaun will demonstrate how to extract data using the extract data wizard, and will teach you how to extract to a table and a spreadsheet.
